This project is improving the wastewater treatment facility’s existing digesters. Digester No. 1 is the third and final to be rehabilitated to allow for more efficient operation. The project removed and demolished the existing steel floating cover and installed a new low-shrinkage concrete digester cover and support columns. The project also includes the installed a mixing system and associated piping inside the digester, the installed gas piping and appurtenances on the new cover and the replacement of the existing heat exchanger.
