Habitat For Humanity East Bay

The Covello Group is volunteering for the first time with Habitat For Humanity East Bay this January. Together with other volunteers we will rehabilitate a home in Antioch, California through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program in partnership with Contra Costa County. Habitat for Humanity's goal is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make a decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Since its founding in 1976, the organization has built/rehabilitated over 500,000 homes and over 2 million people worldwide. Covello is proud to be associated with this organization and excited to help provide simple, decent, affordable housing.

Contra Costa Food Bank

The Covello Group has been involved with the Food Bank of Contra Costa County and Solano for the past few years. Employees volunteer their time and resources quarterly. The Food Bank was founded in 1975 by people who saw the need for a central clearinghouse for food donations. The Food Bank of Contra Costa County and Solano serves over 82,000 people every month, and distributes about 8 million pounds a year, enough food for 6.4 million meals!
