This improvements project demolished an existing cast iron pipeline, controls building, pump cans. The existing pumps were removed and retrofitted to work with a new set of pump cans. Additionally, the project installed a new pump control house, ductile iron pipe, a back-up generator set, variable frequency drives, automatic transfer switch and signal/power wiring. This project will also required close coordination with the Contractor, PGE and Redwood City to perform the work while keeping power to the existing facility controls.
