This project constructed a new ultra violet (UV) disinfection facility on the existing plant site adjacent to an old gaseous chlorine storage building. One portion of this building became the electrical MCC room for the new UV facility. Work included driving a concrete support pile foundation, constructing of a concrete and steel reinforced structure atop the piles, installing a 84-inch diameter pipe, a new concrete diversion structure, installing a 480V electrical power system for all new equipment and new mechanical equipment including sluice gates, pumps and various sized gate valves.
- The Trojan UV system installed here is the same system that was installed at the Watsonville RWTF project.
