This project upgraded seven of the eight existing Bel Marin Keys Pump Stations. The upgrades included the installation of submersible sewage pumps in manholes ahead of Bel Marin Keys Pump Stations Nos. 1-4 & 6-8. Each pump was designed to pump 300 gpm at 30’ TDH. The expected daily sewage flow at the Bel Marin Keys Pump Stations during the dry weather months and temporary pumping requirements are approximately 40,000 gallons per day.
This project installed all temporary pumping systems; all necessary demolition and removal of equipment; construction of all force main connections; all necessary excavation; structural work, metal work, pipe work and mechanical work; furnish and installation of new pumps; all electrical work including construction of an underground electrical service and alarms; painting; and construction of all site work including fencing, gates, sidewalks, driveways, and asphalt paving.
