The project included the installation of an 8-mile, 36-inch diameter force main segment of the Export Pipeline Facilities Program. Primarily open cut construction was done, however the installation did include four microtunneling segments, two of which were interstate freeway crossings. The pipe was installed adjacent to active businesses and in a major arterial roadway. Services required tremendous coordination and communication with public agencies, the contractor, the design consultant, private property owners and the environmental consultant.
