This project consisted of building a 2.0 mgd recycled water pump station, a 1.5 million gallon buried concrete reservoir, 2,100 feet of 16-inch welded steel pipeline, a storm drain and roadway; as well as, permanent erosion control for a drainage gully adjacent to the reservoir. Deep pipeline installation required braced excavation up the steep slope to the recycled water tank. Covello wrote the Operations Manual for the system and this project included SCADA work. The project was in an environmentally sensitive area with red-legged frogs and required extensive erosion control/SWPPP measures. In addition, a golden eagle nest severely restricted the access to major portions of the work area.
